Overall, trends show that the proportion of toddlers has decreased, while the proportion of 10-14 year olds has increased over time. A look at the graph shows the percentage of babies (0-4 years old) falling in the UK over time. This proportion among young people in the UK reached 26% in 1990 and falls to 23. 5% in 2021. In contrast, the proportion of 10-14 year olds has increased significantly over the same period and is 26% higher in year 2001. Another highlight on the chart is that the UK youth population (15_19 years old) fell sharply between 1990 and 1994 when it hit a low of almost 23%. However, it increased and reached 25% in 2001. Finally, British children aged 5-9 were more than 26% from 1995 to 1997 but the proportion gradually decreased and eventually fell to just over 26%. more than 25% in 2001.
