The illustration shows information about how an igloo is built from snow. D6eY6
The provided demonstration illustrates the construction of an igloo from snow. Overall, there are 5 major stages in the diagram, starting with locating an area covered by hard-packed snow and ending with covering the entrance hole with snow blocks. At the beginning of the process, hard-packed snow in the area is cut into massive blocks of ideal size by a snow saw to build the base. The edges of the blocks are later smoothed carefully with the saw and placed respectively in a circle building upward. Subsequently, a big hole is dug under the wall to make the entrance. After building the body of the igloo, a slightly massive block is shaped and placed on the top to strengthen the whole igloo. During the remaining steps, loose snow is scooped up clearly out of the igloo and is packed into all crevices, while the surface inside of the igloo is smoothly wiped by hand. Any extra snow is also completely removed out of the igloo. At the final stage, a hole dug in the shape of an ideal entrance is then covered with snow blocks.
