The line graph compares the annual numbers of three type of fast foods eaten by teenagers in Mauritia over the course of 30 years.
Overall, it is clear that the figures for pizza and other two types of junk food, which is hamburgers and friend chicken, totally reversed at the start and end of the period.
In 1985, pizza was the most popular junk food among Mauritian teenagers, with solid 60 times of consumption per year. By contrast, hamburgers and fried chicken were recorded as least popular type, having 10 and at around 5 times of eating per year respectively.
Following this, the figures for pizza consumption decreased dramatically over the period shown, and in 2015 it was standing at 10 times, the same number as hamburgers at the start of the period. As for hamburgers and fried chicken, which had fairly the same pattern of increase, overtook pizza consumption and at the end of the period they had almost the same number of intake per year, at around 65 and 70. Only in 2000, all three types of fast foods had nearly the same numbers, comprising roughly 40 times of consumption.
