It is also split based on men, women and children over the years 2002, 2006 and 2010. Overall, it can be seen how women are the group who are the majority of adequate consumers of fruits and vegetables, followed by men and children. Moreover, the consumption of these products has slightly increased in all groups if we compare the first and last year, being the children those who increased the most.
An analysis of the data shows that in 2002 those who had the worst nutrition by far were children at 11%. In contrast, men are women were more healthy consumers at 22% and 25%, respectively. However, in 2006 children soared up to 18% whereas the gap between men and women became wider with 6 percentage points of difference. Finally, children percentage plunged to 16% as well as both men and women who lost 2 and 6 points, respectively. Nevertheless, women were still the group with the best nutrition pattern amongst all.
