Overall, it is clear that the quantity of Vietnamese students in Russia went down while the opposite was true for the remainders. Also, it is obvious that America became the most popular choice for Vietnamese students among the three different countries over the period shown.
As can be seen from the chart, in 2000, 3. 5 million Vietnamese learners attended schools in France, which was the biggest, while the figures for Russia and America were only 3 and 1. 5 million respectively. Over the next 6 years, the student numbers from Vietnam in France and Russia decreased moderately by around 1 million in 2005. In contrast, there was a slight rise to 2 million in the figure for America.
From 2005 onwards, the number of Vietnamese learners in the US increased moderately by 1 million in 2010, then more sharply to 5 million in 2015. Similarly, the figure for French ones went up quickly to 5 million in 2015. Meanwhile, Vietnamese students in Russia declined considerably from 3 to around 1. 8 million in quantity, hitting the lowest point in 2010, and then climbed to 2. 5 million in the last year.
