The bar chart illustrates how many minutes in billions totally were spent concerning telephone calls in the UK regarding local, national- international and mobile calls between 1995 and 2002. To begin with, as it can be seen on the chart, local calls accounted for the total number of minutes for telephone calls over the years, whereas national and international calls contributed to the smallest. Cellphone calls accounted for a significant proportion. More particularly, local fixed line calls experienced an upward trend from 1995 to 1998, hitting the highest point of 90 billion in 1999. Following that, a downward trend can be observed, decreasing the number from 90 billion to around 71 billion in 2002. In contrast, mobile calls rose significantly by 10 million approximately during 1995-1999. Following this, for the next two years, a soar could probably be shown, reaching a peak at 45 billion minutes approximately in 2002.
