The chart illustrates the amount of money that each household in America spend in 5 distinct kind of goods in 2010 and 2014. Overall, from 2010 to 2014 the American spend in food, smartphone and Toiletries showed an upward trend. The spending for food was the lion share in both years, while books was reversed. In 2010, each household payed approximately 3750 $ for food, which was much higher than that of cloth(2500), smartphone (2000) and Toiletries (1900), and three times higher than spending for books, at a mere 1000. Next four years, the figures for food increased significantly by nearly 1000, similarly, that of smartphone rose by 700. There was a slight growth in toiletries, just a mere 200. In 2014, people in America's spending on books even fewer than that of 2010, which declined by a half to just 500$. Clothes was the only goods that have the sales for each household stayed stability, at 2500 as same as that of 2010.
