Nowadays, teenagers can search for information and knowledge through the internet. Therefore it is not necessary to encourage them to read books anymore. kx5OR
In this day and age, adolescents find it easy to get information and broaden their knowledge by searching the Internet. So reading books seems to be a time-wasting activity. From my point of view, I personally agree with this statement due to many two main reasons. On the one hand, I believe that searching information in the web can help people broaden their horizons. As the world nowadays is developing more and more stronger and better, people can find everything in the Internet. Moreover, internet also gain a lot of beautiful and colorful images to support their information so it will attract more attention and help youngsters stimulate their creative dynamism. For example, besides some websites with long writing, teens also can get information through short videos in Youtube which absolutely meet their demands. Therefore, reading books will not be a good choice for those who are lazy and not excited with their study. On the other hand, i also think that searching for a long time in front of the computer can do harm to their eyes and health. Secondly, although internet is considered as a an encyclopedia, it also has mistakes which people can not distinguish. If teenagers are over-dependent in this tool, they could have bad marks or sometimes lose their beliefs. For example, when searching something about history, adolescents need to make sure that everything is true. So if they want to have right information, teens need to check this again in the book. This may cost a lot of time and effort. Therefore, books are also indispensable parts of their lives. In conclusion, i believe that getting information from the internet can boost children’s knowledge, creativity and intelligence. However, this also has some problems which need to be tackled to improve the quality of information and make sure everything is correct.
