A considerable number of people think that NGO’s must cater to humankind across the globe, while the rest say that they must satisfy their home country’s needs at the first place. Let’s analyze and find out the possibilities of each. A Non-Governmental Organisation is found so that, it can reach out to the sufferers at any part of the world without considering their race, creed or religion. They have volunteers for funding and execution of work. We have seen in case of Somalia, a country in Africa, which has been severely hit by poverty and hunger, for which numerous nations have visited and donated food and other supplies for their survival. India had also been one amongst the volunteer who helped them and such willingness and efforts must be appreciated. On the other side, a majority of mass feel that, its not always important to aid other countries when yours is suffering. This can be true to an extent, for example, India being a developing country and a nation that is being hit by natural disasters at its various parts, needs to be first taken care of, than catering foreign states. Unless our own citizens who are suffering with poverty and health ailments aren’t been helped out, its meaningless to care for others. In conclusion, I would state that, it is important for an NGO to care for lives across boundaries yet it’s a priority to fulfill the needs of your own brothers and sisters at first, and when we are developed and sustainable, we can reach out furthermore.
