The graph gives detailed information about the world population trends from 1950 to 2040. Overall, rural population remain stable on the entire period; however, the age group between 15 and 65 shows periodic rise in population. To begin with, the urban population were below 10 percent on nearly 15 years from 1950 to 1965; however, it raised significantly and reached 20 percent in 2005. There is a prediction of above 35 percent population occurs from urban area in 2040. Moreover, the total population was above 10 percent in 1950 and it raised to 20 percent in 1970, although the assumed total population on 2040 will be nearly 45 percent. The rural population will remain stable to nearly 5 percent in the 90 years period. When looking on the age factor, the age group under 15 and above show some fluctuations on the 20 years period; however, it shows both are same with a little raise to above 5 percent in 2040. After 1960 the people numbers on the age between 15 and 65 raises dramatically and it will reach to 35 percent in 2040.
